Shortly after graduating from UNC-Charlotte with his Business/ Finance Degree, Winston began In 1994 his real estate career in Charlotte, NC in commercial real estate then moved into residential real estate sales. Winston and Whitney (wife) decided they wanted a change from the rat race of the city and relocated to the Outer Banks in 1998 and never looked back.
