Ruth - Real Estate Agent
Licensed and active in selling real estate on the Westside since 1993, Ruth left New York for California in 1983 and has lived in Santa Monica since 1989. Prior to becoming a realtor, she worked in the corporate world, serving as the spokesperson for presidents and chairmen of the Board at regional and international companies. A graduate of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, she has taken post-graduate courses at New York University, The New School and L’Instituto Norteamerico de Relaciones Culturales in Mexico City, the University of California, Los Angeles and the University of California, Berkeley.
Ruth thrives on marketing properties of distinction: luxury quality, old-world character and design integrity excite her. But she has sold a broad variety of listings. These include houses in original condition that were built anew, quirky hillside cottages, high-end condominiums from pied a terre to penthouse as well as beloved family homes and investor favored residential income property. She has more than 30 years in sales and marketing as well as media and public relations on both coasts and in Mexico City.
Drawing on a diversified professional and personal background, Ruth feels you can always find the time for projects---and missions---that will make a difference in people’s lives. That same sensibility is reflected in her real estate practice. She has served since 2005 as the designated real estate licensee on the Landmarks Commission for the City of Santa Monica. She has participated as a docent for the Santa Monica Conservancy’s Program Committee and attends neighborhood association meetings, including those held by Friends of Sunset Park and North of Montana. She is an active member of her Santa Monica parish community and is most proud of her work there as a lector.
