Nagisa Ikeda is a licensed architect in Washington DC, with a LEED BD+C designation, and a real estate broker in Chicago. She pursued architectural studies at university in Tokyo, Japan and holds Masters in Urban Planning studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her professional experience began at the SOM (Skidmore, Owings & Merrill) NYC office. Nagisa played an essential role in the Urban Design group and participated in large scale master planning projects such as Tianjin Eco-City, Masdar (Abu Dhabi) Master Planning, Newark Liberty Airport Next Generation Sustainable Airport, etc. These projects have received prominent international design awards. She was in charge of the Sustainability Department and ensured all design decisions were made in compliance with LEED Platinum requirements. Upon completing the architectural license registration process, she moved to San Francisco, and worked for Aleck Wilson Architects on high end luxury homes. Her keen eye for design, aesthetics, and appreciation for California homes’ inside-outside living established the foundation for her later success in high end real estate work in San Francisco. She joined a nationally ranked, fourth in the U.S.A., luxury real estate firm and trained with the best buyer’s team in San Francisco. She was instrumental in structuring deals for high profile properties that established record sales. After 3 years of experience, in the San Francisco Bay Area, she decided to move back to Chicago: her starting point in the U.S.A.. As a broker at Compass, she is fully engaging clients with her expertise in real estate and architectural design projects. Her combined talents are once again resulting in record breaking sales. Nagisa is a fan of old art house movies and international cuisine. In her spare time, she enjoys aquarium building, seeing creative fashion, and touring art installations.
