Laura Parrish Lightle was born in Metter, GA and raised in Statesboro, GA. She received a BS in Computer Science from Georgia Southern University in 1990 and has worked in various areas of IT including cyber security, system administration, project management, and freelance website design. She bought her first home in 1993 and purchased her first investment property in 2004. With the help of her handyman husband, she successfully flipped it for a profit the next year. Since then, she has bought and sold many homes and investment properties; developing her knowledge and love for the real estate industry. Laura first obtained her real estate license in 2007, but put being an active real estate salesperson on hold when her son was born that year. She later re-activated her license to fully pursue a career as a Realtor. Because she has lived in Bulloch, Chatham, and Bryan counties for many years she is very familiar with the areas. Laura volunteers her IT skills for non-profit animal rescues, her church, and Trinity Christian School, where she also served on the Board of Directors for 3 years and periodically teaches a Technology elective to middle schoolers. Laura enjoys boating, photography, and spending time with her family and many rescued pets.
