Kirk grew up playing baseball, sailing, and surfing in Southwest Florida. After earning an Economics degree at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, FL, he visited Santa Barbara. It was love at first sight. In 1987 Kirk made Santa Barbara home.
Kirk knows first-hand why people want to stay in Santa Barbara and the challenges of purchasing real estate in the area. Kirk married a local girl born in Santa Barbara and raised in Carpinteria. Together they have three wonderful children, all born in the same Santa Barbara "home." For many years the Hodson family has called the Mesa area of Santa Barbara their home.
Prior to his real estate career, Kirk spent more than twenty-five years in the Action Sports Industry (Surfing, Skateboarding, Snowboarding) servicing clients' needs, and putting mutually beneficial deals together. Today, with more than $185 million in residential sales, Kirk is a favored Santa Barbara Realtor who cherishes his adopted home. Having lived, purchased, and sold real estate throughout Carpinteria, Montecito, Summerland, Santa Barbara, Hope Ranch and Goleta, Kirk is familiar with local neighborhoods and schools throughout the South County and has intimate knowledge of the area.
Kirk is relational by nature, conscientious of others, highly detailed in his work and life, and excellent at follow-through. A born educator, Kirk’s honesty, tenacity, and research-drive lead him toward an educational approach in life and real estate, allowing his clients to find the help they need to make the decision that's right for them.
Whether you’re considering buying or selling, Kirk would love to spend some time getting to know you and your story. If you have questions, give him a call. How can he help?
