Brooks Brydges - Realtor

Brooks is a fourth generation real estate agent. His family founded a real estate company in Ocean City, NJ in 1928, Hager Real Estate. Hager was later sold to Prudential Real Estate in 2007. In 1987 Brooks moved to Coronado, CA and has remained in Southern California ever since having great knowledge of every community between the border and Los Angeles, specifically North County San Diego. He has called Encinitas home since first moving here in 1997 after having worked as a real estate agent in South Bay Los Angeles, while attending UCLA’s real estate appraisal program. Brooks is a graduate of San Diego State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Economics. He is also a Graduating Founder of the world’s premier idea-stage accelerator and start up launch program, the Founder Institute. He has founded companies including Nautical Wealth Management and the Craft Sourcing Collective, a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) for the booming craft beverage industry in San Diego. Brooks has been a Personal Financial Adviser for 25 years, having worked for and later partnering with real estate developers and a family owned hotel operator to pursue large scale convention center hotels and resorts built around wave technology in Southern California and North Texas. Brooks has a deep understanding of real estate development and investment including Opportunity Zone Funds, Delaware Statutory Trusts (DSTs), 1031 Exchanges, Real Estate Investment Trrusts (REITs) and Cost Segregation Analysis. You could say that real estate runs in his blood and Brooks appreciates working with investors, as well as residential buyers and sellers, having an intimate understanding of both the real estate and global capital markets. Brooks has sat on numerous boards over the years including Start Up Circle, as well as Vice President of the Board of Directors of both the Parkinson’s Association of San Diego (PASD) and San Diego Chapter of the American Parkinson’s Disease Association (APDA) where he was honored as the 2010 United Way Combined Health Agencies (CHA) Volunteer of the Year in San Diego. Brooks is an avid surfer and can be often found with his family, Golsa, Gavin, Brooklyn and Jordan at the world-renowned beaches right here in Encinitas and North County, San Diego.
