In 1983, the year of the orchestra's premier performance, I served as President of the Board of Directors. I became the first recipient, in 1985, of an award created by the Board of Directors, in my name. The Ann Allen Award is given annually for outstanding service to the orchestra's growth and development.Prior to my career in real estate I had a full and rewarding career in Pediatric nursing at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. I worked as a head nurse and as a clinical instructor of student nurses.
