I'm a 4th generation Bay Area native, born and raised in Silicon Valley. Back in the early 19th century my family was in the food biz, but by the early 70’s they were working with pioneering companies like Fairchild Semiconductor and Lockheed Martin. Our Sunnyvale orchards turned into office buildings years ago. I, too, began in the food biz. By the time I was thirty-two I was in a leadership role that rivaled middle-aged execs. My career in marketing for the natural foods industry demanded full involvement in nationwide sales systems, budgeting, and trend-watching. When my children arrived, I no longer wanted to be on the road so much; that’s when I made the leap to real estate. I never looked back. Corporate relocation has been my specialty for many years, working with tech giants like Google and Tesla. Savvy, intellectual, thoughtful, I relish both a home hunt and a buyer search. Clients know they can count on my professionalism, insight into market trends, and an ability to really hone in on their needs to develop a customized plan of action. Unlike Realtors who live to haggle or wait for the moment they can make design decisions, I love every aspect of my work: the endlessly changing details, the need for flexibility, strategy, and ongoing communication. I relish connecting with others, grappling with legal contracts, keeping up with rules and regulations, and developing a real appreciation for architecture. I enjoy it all, and most of all, I love the satisfaction of helping others achieve their goals. When I’m not making deals, you’ll find me backpacking, hiking, painting, or writing. I’m a dedicated volunteer (ask me about historical buildings), a self-avowed romantic who is prone to philosophizing when not in the midst of project management. I appreciate antiques, too, mostly vintage clothing and art. As a kid, I aspired to be a meteorologist nun. After all, I had scientific interests, and wanted to understand how the seen and unseen work together. In real estate, these early inclinations turn out to be helpful: I’m good at avoiding disaster, and know the value of positive thinking!
