Although I was born in Iowa, I consider myself a Texan. My family moved to Texas when I was 2 years old and Texas has been home ever since. I grew up in San Antonio, but the Houston area is where I now call home. After many years of struggling the balance of work and school, I earned my BBA and my MBA from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX.

While it was a tragic natural disaster, Hurricane Harvey showed me what an amazing community we have here in Houston. I fell in love with the sense of community that I felt in the months after Harvey and want everyone in this city to feel the same. The big city feel of always having something to do, new cultures to experience, and the economic growth we have experienced, Houston has proven to be the best city for me.
