Kim - Real Estate Agent
Business PhilosophyTo provide my clients with a responsible and a rewarding real estate experience. My goal is to think only of the best for my clients, work only for the best and to expect only the best.
Education and Training
I attended undergraduate school at Western State College for a year then went on to the University of California at Los Angeles, but managed to finish up at Regis College after my military service . Following my return from three tours in Viet Nam, I went back to school to complete my undergraduate degree. I attended school at night, one class at a time while working during the day to support my family. During this time I purchased my first home using a veteran's loan. I was represented by a local real estate agent and quickly realized the need for responsible representation for buyers and sellers. I took night classes in real estate and worked for a mortgage company during the day. In 1980 I became a salesman for New West Realty. After my two-year apprenticeship, I earned my real estate broker's license and started my own company for commercial real estate and tax-deferred exchanges. Several years later I was hired by Del E. Web Realty and Management. After working in commercial real estate, I returned to school to pursue a graduate degree in management.

Personal Background
I have been a part of the Evergreen community for most of my life. As an adolescent and young adult, I spent summers in family-owned cabins in Upper Bear Creek and in Brook Forest. I have been involved in numerous Evergreen community service organizations for many years: Blue Spruce Kiwanis, the Evergreen Elks Lodge 2363, and Evergreen Post 2001 of the American Legion. Eleven years of my academic career were spent at Evergreen High School teaching technology, and then at several secondary schools in Jefferson County. I taught for thirteen years at Regis University in the School of Computer and Information Science and the School of Management. My wife Jennifer and I live in Evergreen in Hiwan Hills.
Recently, my friend Terry Robinson asked me to join his team at Coldwell Banker-The Early Group. Going to work for a top ten team in Colorado for Coldwell Banker was an easy decision to make. I will provide my friends and customers with educated and informed real estate service when they buy or sell a home with me. I intend to uphold the excellent reputation that Terry and the Early group has established.

I am actively involved in community service in Evergreen. I am a member and past president of Blue Spruce Kiwanis of Evergreen, Evergreen Elks Lodge BPOE 2363, and the Evergreen American Legion Post 2001. The Early Group works with people and properties from Bailey, Colorado to Idaho Springs, Colorado and many of the communities along the Front Range in between. It is important that you select a Realtor who is well versed in the mountains. There are many different facets to buying or selling a mountain property that many city Realtors are not familiar with. The Realtors who have taken classes to obtain the CMAS (Certified Mountain Area Specialist) designation are familiar with the mountains and the requirements specific to buying and selling in this area. I have also achieved the designation of Graduate Realtors Institute by taking 15 four hour courses in advanced real estate concepts.
