Kayelin has been married to her husband, Travis since 2001, and they have one son, Houston, and a wire-haired Dachshund named Axel. A little-known fact about Kayelin, she was professionally trained in ballet, jazz, and tap dance and even appeared on the original Ed McMahon's Star Search show as a finalist in 1991. She is a blue belt in TaeKwonDo and is committed to becoming a black belt in 2020. She is active in several childhood cancer coalitions such as Triumph Over Kid's Cancer, Candlelighters Houston, and she annually adopts a family of a child with cancer and helps make their holiday extra special during a very trying time. She is passionate about women's health and supports the American Cancer Society and American Heart Association and recently started volunteering at the Montgomery County Food Bank.
