Ed
McCaffrey
After
a long career in chemical sales and technical service, Ed and his wife Kathy
moved to Essex, CT to be closer to their 2 daughters and other family
members. They built a small cape style
home with a first floor master bedroom and two upstairs bedrooms for
guests. The home also featured an open
floor plan (Ed says they don’t miss a formal dining room and a formal living
room).
After
four years of traveling and enjoying the benefits of a slower pace of life in a
small New England village, Ed enthusiastically began a new career in real
estate, joining Page Taft Real Estate (before they became Page Taft – Compass)
in 2004. Having bought and sold personal
homes in Ohio, Rhode Island, Georgia and Connecticut, and many years as a real
estate agent, Ed understands that buying and selling a home is one of the most
stressful events in a person’s life. When working with clients, Ed exhibits
tireless patience and understanding, attention to detail, and logical thinking needed
in today’s highly turbulent and unpredictable market.
Ed
thrives on meeting new people and showing them all that the Connecticut
shoreline has to offer: small town living, fresh seafood and a lifestyle that
others will envy.
When
not focusing on real estate, Ed enjoys cycling, hiking, photography, surf
casting and woodworking. He’s also active in several charitable organizations
including the Knights of Columbus and his local church.
