Charity has consistently been named by the Houston Association of Realtors® as a “Top Production REALTOR®”. In the year 2011, she brokered the most expensive home sold in the Houston area.
Born in San Antonio, Charity moved to Houston to study law at the University of Houston. In 1983 she was licensed to practice law, and enjoyed a wonderful career as a Houston Attorney for 15 years until she decided on a career change, to do what she always loved--buying and selling real estate! She is armed with a unique perspective as a former attorney and mediator, incredible market knowledge, great negotiating skills, sincere concern for the wishes of her clients, and an amazing work ethic she serves her clients well. She has been involved in numerous philanthropic organizations and outreach programs including the Houston Symphony, Houston Parkinson’s Society, Green Team America, River Oaks Baptist School, Episcopal High School, University of Houston Law School Alumni, Mission of Yahweh, and St. John the Devine Episcopal Church.
Charity, after being widowed for 12 years is newly married to Wally Cox, a very talented and established Houston homebuilder. Charity has two children, Patrick is a graduate of Georgetown University and the University of Texas Law School and is currently a trial attorney with AZA here in Houston. Mollie is a graduate of the University of Houston and began her dynamic and successful career as a Realtor in 2011 and joined her mom at Compass with the O'Connell Yarborough Properties Group. Mollie and her wonderful husband, Andrew Steele are expecting their first child this fall which makes life even more exciting! Charity and Wally not only share these fun "kids" together but also their amazing puppies, Betti and Don Carlos.
